I absolutely loved this kintsugi workshop with Clara! It was such a beautiful and mindful experience and highly authentic. Clara explained the philosophy behind kintsugi so thoughtfully, helping us appreciate the deeper meaning of embracing imperfections, the impermanence of life, and turning breakage into art. A small, intimate setting with a lovely group too who shared their experiences and reason for joining. The materials provided were high quality (urushi, epoxy glue, brass powder, japanese brushes, putty) and the guidance was patient and clear throughout. I especially enjoyed the calm, meditative pace, it felt like a perfect blend of creativity and reflection. By the end, we left not only with a beautifully repaired piece but also a genuine sense of peace and appreciation for the process! I've been to Japan and seen a master repair a piece and it was truly magical to experience this for myself in such an authentic workshop (in an equally beautiful setting at westonbirt arboretum). All items were provided too. I’d highly recommend this workshop to anyone interested in Japanese art, culture, mindfulness, or simply taking time to slow down and create something meaningful - I'll definitely be returning to do another session (and breaking a few pieces in the process)!

An extremely relaxing, satisfying and productive 3 hours spent with a broken saucer, a fantastic group of fellow learners and Clara- a patient and thoughtful teacher. I would happily and whole-heartedly recommend!

We both had the most magical experience at our taster Kintsugi session a couple of days ago. Clara is a warm, kind and patient teacher with plenty of knowledge and enthusiasm, her class was relaxing and friendly. Kintsugi is an amazing Japanese custom, where the focus is not on perfection, but instead shows that precious things can be repaired and transformed. If you are at all curious and would love a couple of relaxing hours, then Clara offers the perfect opportunity to try a new skill. Highly recommended.

Last Friday attended a lovely workshop where I was delighted to walk away with two stunning repairs from two Raku creations I’d brought to the workshop. Clara created a lovely open and sharing atmosphere
