Kintsugi & Reflective Group Experiences for Organisations
Bring the depth of kintsugi to your events and teams
We (Clara Bethell-Sacks and Steph Bethell) offer unique and thoughtfully designed group experiences that combine the creative, reflective practice of kintsugi with skilled facilitation and psychotherapy-informed group work. Alongside hands-on workshops, we create spaces where teams can slow down, connect more authentically, and explore the human experiences that shape how they work together. Whether through creative practice, guided reflection or facilitated group process, our work supports resilience, communication and meaningful connection—helping individuals and teams move through challenge with greater awareness, cohesion and care.
Choose from a range of workshops and facilitated experiences for your organisation.

Integrated Experiences
Clara ran several sold-out workshops during our annual showcase, the largest Japanese Culture event in the South West.
Our guests loved learning from Clara and were delighted with the pieces they mended.
We were so pleased to have such a detailed and calming workshop of kintsugi be a part of the event programme.
We would highly recommend Clara to any company looking for a unique hands-on activity steeped in fascinating tradition, with a knowledgeable craftsperson and excellent teacher!

How we work
We design and facilitate kintsugi-based experiences for organisations seeking to offer something genuinely meaningful—whether for team connection, wellbeing, reflective practice or shared moments of pause within the working day.
Sessions are held by Steph, Clara or both of us, typically in small groups of 6–12 participants, allowing for a more personal, attentive and engaging experience, with options to accommodate larger teams where needed. We bring everything to your chosen setting—whether in the workplace or an external venue—and guide the process with care, shaping each session around a thoughtful blend of elements, from hands-on making and gently facilitated group process to reflective space and a shared Japanese tea experience.
Kintsugi isn’t just a craft; it’s a mindful journey. When you choose the hands-on element, participants repair ceramics using the Japanese art of Kintsugi, highlighting cracks with traditional lacquer and gold-hued brass powder. Each person creates and takes home their own unique piece, making the experience both personal and lasting.
The atmosphere is relaxed and supportive, encouraging creativity, open conversation, and team bonding. Ideal for teams facing challenge, seeking connection, or needing a restorative break, these sessions leave participants feeling grounded, inspired, and more connected to themselves and each other—boosting both individual and team wellbeing, collaboration, and productivity.

Meet the team
We bring together complementary practices in creativity, psychotherapy and group facilitation to create thoughtful, well-held experiences for teams.

Clara (she/her) is a kintsugi artist, facilitator and former NHS midwife. Her work is rooted in the belief that repair—whether of objects or people—is a careful, creative and deeply human process. Drawing on her background in fine art, clinical practice and long-standing mindfulness training, she creates spaces that invite presence, reflection and transformation. Through kintsugi, Clara supports individuals and groups to engage with imperfection, resilience and the quiet beauty of things becoming whole again.

Steph (they/them) is a UKCP-accredited psychosynthesis psychotherapist, group facilitator and body-based practitioner. They work relationally, integrating psychotherapy, somatic awareness and collaborative exploration to support meaningful change. With experience in working with trauma, relationships and identity, Steph brings warmth, depth and clarity to group spaces—helping people to feel safe enough to explore, connect and grow. They bring a holistic, body-informed approach to group experiences, supporting participants to engage fully, reflect deeply, and discover new ways of being.
